Fall colors

People say they would miss the seasons if they moved here like we did. The seasons in Lower Alabama are marked; they just aren't as defined as in the Midwest, of course. The Autumn weather here has been absolutely gorgeous with sunny skies and warm temperatures, and it is quite different from the Fall weather I recall in Indiana/Ohio!

On Saturday we drove along the Eastern Shore and saw a lot of color amidst the roadside scenery. We have mostly pine trees on our property, but we can see some color in the vacant lot next door and in the vegetation growing along the canal across from us ...

... so who needs Fall color when you have scenery like this just two miles away?
