We've had some surprise visitors to Gulf Shores, but I couldn't have been more shocked when we got a call out of the blue from my classmate, Jim Brandt, saying they were staying for two weeks at the beach in Gulf Shores. The thing is, I had not heard from nor seen Jim for 40 years until our class reunion five years ago. And, now here we are, two "kids" from West Milton, OH, enjoying time together with our spouses in South Alabama!

Hope we'll get to do this again on their winter tour through the South next year. Maybe the weather will cooperate and treat us to a warm, sunny day for a boat ride!
