Our resident heron, whom we've nicknamed Henry, lives around our place and is a daily sight in the trees, the water and on our pier most nights. This, however was a first, as we've never before seen him perch on the boat house roof! In this photo the great blue heron unfortunately blends into the gray sky on this very cloudy day.
