We were so happy to have some guests in May, as Jim's sister, Judy and husband Dave, came for a week-long visit mid-May. It's always fun to have friends come by also and were so glad to have my classmates, Ken & Vickie Wagar, make a stop in Gulf Shores as they began their epic 14,500-mile journey around the perimeter of the United States. They are true adventurers and I am enjoying following their trip on an elaborate blog that Ken has set up. It was so great to spend a late afternoon and evening over dinner with them and catching up with each others' lives.
Today we had unexpected visitors and someone we hadn't seen in many years. The daughter of some of our dearest friends, I saw her the day she was born and watched her grow up. She's all grown up and has a family of her own. Kasey (Warren) Hitt, husband Russ, and their two children are vacationing in the area and thanks to the miracle of technology (Facebook) she made contact with me. We were so happy to get reacquainted and meet her family and had a wonderful afternoon visit.
