The Gulf

Yesterday we had lunch at the cutest place in the area. It's called The Gulf and it opened last fall in Orange Beach at Perdido Pass. You get a great view, especially from the upper level, of the blue-green waters of Perdido Bay.

The place has only open air seating and is built from repurposed shipping containers. Featured in the April 2013 issue of Southern Living magazine, The Gulf was designed by the youngest certified architect in the country.

We ate on the top level where the "carpet" is grass and has its own sprinkler system. This place is touted as being a"green" space.

The menu changes daily except for the burgers and the grouper sandwich. Jim said his hamburger was really good, and I can attest to the deliciousness of the grouper sandwich! YUM! The fries are hand-cut which makes them taste fantastic.

I highly recommend The Gulf!
