Remembering Diane

One year ago the world lost a wonderful human being. Diane passed away after spending over 30 years confined to a wheelchair as a result of MS. The MS took her sight away for about half that time, yet she continued to do more than I could have ever imagined doing if I were in her situation. She was a remarkable woman and a blessing to all who knew her. She was truly an inspiration ... hardly a day goes by that I don't still think of her.

This tugboat goes by our house regularly ... working hard pushing barges through the canal. All the tugs have names written on their sides. I see this one named "Diane" go by frequently. I feel it is a sign from "our Diane" letting us know that now she is healed, is strong and assuring us that all is well.

Diane, we will never forget you!
